The striking and innovative Louvre Abu Dhabi building was designed by award-winning architect Jean Nouvel. Two thirds of the museum is covered by a white dome measuring 180 metres in diameter. Underneath it, the volumes of the museum are arranged. The geometry of these low-rise buildings is simple, however the facades, created of Contec high performance concrete, are varied in expression, creating an ever-changing experience for visitors.
