The Qatar National Museum is designed by the award-winning architect, Jean Nouvel. The building complex is inspired by the desert rose and consist of numerous interlocking discs. The discs are created from giant steel structures cladded with Contec high performance concrete facade elements. The discs function as roofs, walls, floors and terraces. The facade elements all vary in size, shape and expression, which makes the facades an exceptional concrete puzzle.
